As has become tradition First Federal/Forks has kicked off the giving for the 58th annual Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction.
With COVID restrictions the last two years the auction was virtual but will be back for a one-day in-person auction on March 19 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at FHS and will be coupled with an online Facebook auction as well.
David Hurn, 2006 FHS Grad, and QVSA scholarship recipient will once again be the auction coordinator. Hurn told Forks Chamber members on a recent Zoom meeting that auctioneers are excited about being back in person again and Senior Parents will offer concessions during the in-person auction with funds raised going to help with the Senior Safe Night Party to be held on graduation night.
Hurn also shared that donations are coming in with items from Olympic Corrections Center Wood Shop, artwork, firewood, baked goods will be back, and a car has also been donated.

Throughout its history, the auction has raised more than $2 million for Forks grad scholarships.
All proceeds go to the graduating seniors, who assist with the auction.
Forks High School graduates can apply for scholarships to business school, trade school, beauty school or college at graduation or anytime in the future.
