The annual Quillayute Valley School District Scholarship Auction is scheduled to run Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. each day at the Forks High School commons.
The two day event is a fundraiser for Forks High School students featuring a live auction of hundreds of items. Items like cookies, pies, hand-made items from Olympic Corrections Center, firewood, hunting trips, gift baskets, gift certificates and many more items.
This scholarship auction has been a tradition for the last 40-plus years and has raised over a million dollars in support for students ranging from college students, to vocational students to providing tools for students going to work in the timber industry and other occupations right out of high school.
The event is scheduled to be broadcast live on Forks Radio. Auction items are also planned to be displayed in advance of being auctioned on a QVSD Scholarship Auction Facebook page.
Those wishing to donate items can drop them off at Forks High School. Patty Brandt is the contact person at the high school and she can be reached at 374-6262 ext. 362.
