for the Arts Update
Jaymi Goetze has opened the Upper Left Studio in the Vagabond Building in downtown Forks. There are all kinds of surprises happening there so pay attention for upcoming classes and offerings. On Friday, Feb. 3, at noon, an exhibit called Art Behind Bars will open. This promises to be an intriguing display so drop in and take a look. You also can learn more about the studio and what goes on there. Children and adults are having lots of fun in the classes and we applaud Jaymi for starting this venture. It looks like the exhibit will run until Feb. 17 so don’t miss it.
Fun-A-Day
RCA’s annual January project called Fun-A-Day will, as before, run from Jan. 1-31. This is an international concept where artists of all kinds commit to working on their art or craft every day of January. We have had knitting, weaving, crochet, felting, painting, drawing, paper art, photography, paper-making, woodworking, song-writing, collecting and numerous other types of projects. This year we want to include poetry.
So now is the time to decide what you are going to do so you can get started right on Jan. 1. There are some interesting projects being planned — people in Forks are so imaginative! On Feb. 11, we will share our work with the public and artists at the library from 1-3 p.m. This is a fun and social event.

Education Classes
Forks Community Hospital will offer Childbirth Education Classes each Tuesday, for six weeks beginning:
Jan. 17 – Feb. 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m.; April 18 – May 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m.; July 18 – Aug. 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Oct. 17 – Nov. 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The Caring Place, 481 West E St, Forks.
