Rayonier awarded $65,200 to 32 local nonprofit organizations to help address key community needs across Oregon and Washington. Recipients of the award were recognized individually this year. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the annual special awards breakfasts were canceled.
The recipients will use the funds to help meet a range of needs in communities in Oregon and Washington, including civic, cultural, educational, environmental, natural resources, health and human services programs.
Pacific Education Institute, one of the grant recipients, plans to use their grant to provide professional learning opportunities and ongoing support for K-12 teachers in Grays Harbor and Kitsap Counties to implement their FieldSTEM framework with local students.
“I am very proud to support these organizations that provide vital support to kids, families and those in need across our communities,” said Bill Monahan, Director, Western Forest Resources for Rayonier.
