Ribbon Cutting at Virago Retreat Center

Janice Winney Lichtenwaldt was joined by family and friends last Saturday for a Forks Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremony at her new business venture The Virago Retreat Center located off Smith Rd. near the Hwy 101 Bogachiel Bridge. The Virago Retreat Center is located on the Bogachiel River just past the Hwy 101 Bridge. It is a 9-acre facility and future plans include creating a place that will cater to a wide variety of audiences. Plans include Yurt camping and creating a walking labyrinth, designated meditation zones along the river, and guests will be able to enjoy the natural swim hole located under the 101 bridge. Several tent camping sites are also available to those who desire a more ‘rustic’ experience.
