Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest (SIORF) has embarked on a new project this year, Second Chances: Medical Equipment Loans, Free Dress for Success clothing and Prom Dress Loans as a community service project.

SIORF is an international organization with a mission of improving lives in communities as well as empowering women and girls worldwide. SECOND CHANCES will be lending medical equipment West Enders of Clallam and Jefferson Counties, donating dressy clothes for the working women and men who are currently working or just need nice clothes for interviews and lending PROM dresses to girls of West End high schools.

The following medical supplies will be available — Canes, wheelchairs, walkers, commode, crutches and bath benches; as items become available our inventory will increase.

Loans and donations can be arranged by calling 360-374-9496 x2. Any and all equipment in good, clean and working order is accepted. No junk please—we don’t do repairs. Call 360-374-9496 x2 — if you would like to donate or borrow from our MELC. This is a business office so please leave a message with your name and phone number if the line is busy. You will receive a return call from the SIORF member on call.

Anyone interested in dressy clothes or PROM dress loan please call 360-640-1494 or 360-640-3186 for an appointment. There are many sizes and styles, some shoes and even jewelry to give or loan. Several new nurses scrubs are available for free as well!
