Soroptimist International is in the planning stages for our 25th Anniversary of Festival of Trees fundraiser. Because COVID-19 has created a year of unexpected changes, we are planning a different event this year, a “Festival of Wreaths” and a limited supply of Trees. The auction will be ONLINE, similar to the scholarship auction, and run from Friday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 6. There will be no open house, but wreaths/trees will be on display in windows around town.

Even in a pandemic, SIORF continues doing great things in our community and the world for children and families. Some of the projects our monies support are $8,000 in Foundation Awards and Scholarships, baby layettes for the Caring Place, Hygiene kits for homeless, domestic abuse, cancer patient transportation, Mammograms and heart tests for needy patients, Middle School student of the month/honor roll breakfasts/behavior interventions, Second Chances clothing and medical equipment loans and many more worthwhile “helps” for our community.
