Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest proudly presents its 28th annual Festival of Trees with “Candyland”. An open house will take place at the Rainforest Art Center on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1-4 p.m. and again Saturday evening immediately following the Twinkle Light Parade. Stop in to view the trees and vote for your favorite, feast on delicious baked goods and enjoy live entertainment, bid on silent auction wreaths, and get in the Christmas spirit!
The real excitement begins on Sunday, Dec. 3. Doors will open at 1 p.m. followed by the live auction at 2 p.m. Fifteen amazingly decorated trees and 22 wreaths will go to the highest bidders. Tickets will be available for a specially decorated tree by the Olympic Correction Center, which comes with two cords of wood and other surprises, and several themed baskets. Refreshments will be by donation.
The Festival of Trees is the main fundraiser for SIORF. Money raised at this event supports our scholarships, awards, Jr. High Student of the Month, Mammogram Fund, SOS Cancer transportation fund, comfort kits, and Backpack program just to name a few.
