Forks Spartan Tyler Penn (3) makes an outlet pass during the Spartans’ 45-33 win over Montesano on Tuesday evening, Dec. 3 in the Spartan Gym. 

In a game played the same day the new Forks High School addition opened, the Spartan basketball team defeated unbeaten Montesano. In the game played in the Spartan Gym Brady Castellano scored 16 points and Braden Decker 12 to lead the team to the win. The Spartans also played strong defense in the win. The Spartans are now 4-0 in Southwest Washington League – Evergreen District play, and 8-2 overall.
