Forks Fastpitch Babe Ruth players from several age groups and their coaches pose on Thursday morning, July 5 at the Duncan Fields just prior to the opening ceremony of the four-day tourney. Teams from across the state are entered in the tournament and motel space is at a premium in Forks. Players, family members and friends in Forks for the sporting event are enjoying beautiful summer weather. Local merchants are also enjoying a boost from the hundreds of visitors drawn to town to attend the tournament.

The West End Youth League is hosting the statewide Babe Ruth girls fastpitch tournament with Tamara Finley serving as event coordinator and organizer. The entrance to the Duncan Fields were fenced off by Scott Baysinger and crew from SJB, and a daily entrance fee is being charged to help defray the cost of the tournament. Tickets for seniors and children are available at a discount, and multi-day tickets, and family group tickets, are also available at a discount.
