Middle school-age students began summertime archery lessons at the Old Mill Archery Range on Thursday morning, July 18. Helping out the students are Jalen DePew and Melvin Asher from the Hoh Tribe. Old Mill Archery Range Owner Bill Sperry led the instruction. Plans call for expanding archery instruction for students following the launch of the program this summer. Sperry said interest in archery has risen considerably since the popular Hunger Games books and movie have become teen favorites.
