The Student of the Month project is sponsored by Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest for students who consistently display respect and responsibility for their behavior and academic achievement. Students of the Month are chosen by students and teachers. Congratulations to our February Students of the Month.
All students are eligible to be Student of the Month.
Be respectful, be polite, follow school and class rules, help prevent bullying, be on the honor roll, be at school every day and on time, pay attention in class, go the extra mile, do school work and turn it in on time.
Alex Gonzales, daughter of Chris and Kenneda Gonzales, is in Ms. Bryan’s seventh-grade block class. She was chosen by her teachers this month because of her attributes of humility and gentleness. She works hard and leads by example. She is hard-working, responsible and respectful to all of those around her. Alex always gives her best effort, truly cares about her education and is pleasant to everyone. She likes block class and the stories she gets to write. She also is excited about learning new things. Alex enjoys being outside, playing basketball and hanging out with her friends and family.
Carter Norbisrath was chosen by his teachers to be one of the Students of the Month. Carter is the son of Sean and Hilary Norbisrath, and he is in Mrs. Decker’s seventh-grade block class. He is an inquisitive youth who loves to dig deeply into subject matter and explore all of the different perspectives of a situation. Carter is someone who stands out because of his heart of integrity. He shares real life situations and looks to solve problems. His positive nature and happy-go-lucky attitude are contagious and those around him end up getting caught up in his energy. Carter enjoys block class and hanging out with his friends at lunch. Fishing, driving derby cars with Derrick Beebe and relaxing with his dog while watching TV make Carter happy.
Natalie Berry was chosen by her teachers this month as one of the Students of the Month. Natalie is the daughter of Tim and Devanee Berry, and is in Ms. Taylor’s eighth-grade block class. Natalie is someone who is rising up as a leader as she finds opportunities to speak and influence lives. She is able to express great ideas within groups like prevention club. She stays on task, works hard, helps her classmates, is helpful to her teacher and demonstrates the qualities that make her a stellar Spartan. She is very nurturing and kind to those around her. Natalie enjoys band and block class. When she’s not at school, she like to play the saxophone, listen to music and play video games.
Karma Lapin, daughter of Rex and Cynthia Lapin, is in Mr. Burton’s eighth-grade block class. She was chosen as a student of the month by her teachers because of her character and integrity. While she misses some school, she always is prompt about seeing what she’s missed and getting the work done. She works hard and well in class. Karma is respectful and behaves appropriately. She excels at anything that involves writing and she consistently writes quite a lot. She does this to be thorough and comprehensive. Plus, she’s fun. Block and art history are Karma’s favorite part of the school day. Outside of school, Karma likes to read, draw and play videos games with her dad.
