The cornerstone is at the entrance to the new school addition, which will feature a history hall with displays of historic school memorabilia and photographs, along with terra cotta and brick elements salvaged from the demolished circa 1925 brick Forks High School building.

“We put in a variety of memorabilia from the 20th Century about Forks and Forks High School,” Reaume said. The items include a “Q” letter from the old Q Club at Forks High School, which was donated by Class of 1941 member Betty Cooper. Alumnus Adria Fuhrman also donated many items.

Reaume said, “There’s a lot of documents representing the 21st Century.” These included the school photo taken last spring just prior to the demolition of the landmark brick Forks High School building built in 1925. Teachers, staff and students gathered in a large group for the photo. Also inside are a Forks High School t-shirt, a Forks letterman’s letter that would usually be sewn on a letterman’s jacket, a photo of the current QVSD boardmembers, a news article from the Forks Forum on Spartan students attending the mid-November screening in Seattle of the Twilight film “Breaking Dawn Part 1,” and top it all off a Twinkie still in its wrapper.
