Tsunami debris meeting set for ONRC

Tuesday, March 19

The Olympic Natural Resources Center is inviting the community to an evening of discussion and information about the debris washing up on our coastal beaches resulting from the March 2011 tsunami in Japan. Coastal biologist Steve Fradkin from the Olympic National Park and resource protection specialist Liam Antrim from the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary are scheduled to provide an update on what is happening with the removal of the dock in the area north of the mouth of the Hoh River and other news about the debris. The meeting is set for Tuesday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the ONRC, 1455 S. Forks Avenue, Forks. Call or email Ellen Matheny for more information. (360) 374-4556 ematheny@uw.edu.
