PORT ANGELES — Contractor crews will close U.S. Highway 101 near the Tumwater Truck Route beginning this week.
The road will be closed between the truck route and Pine Cutoff Road for about 80 days while work crews remove a barrier to fish passage on Tumwater Creek, according to a press release from the state Department of Transportation.
A marked detour route will direct travelers around the closure, WSDOT said.
