On April 6, the weekly Forks Chamber of Commerce meeting will be a business meeting. Beginning in May, a speaker also will be featured at the business meetings. The lunch entrée of the day is Sriracha Sliders.
April 13, the meeting will feature the Quileute Tribe — Move to Higher Ground Project Committee. The lunch entrée is chicken stir-fry.
On April 20, Molly Erickson, public service manager, and David Hammer, district recreation specialist for the Forest Service, will be the speakers. With a combined 51 years working for the Forest Service, they will be providing great information about Forest Service recreational opportunities. some of the topics will include, differences between the national park and national forest, recreational opportunities available in the area (including campgrounds and recreational trails), and some recreational maintenance and development projects completed or in the works. Maps and handouts will be available. The lunch entrée is enchiladas.
Chamber meetings are held at Blakeslee’s Bar and Grill located at 1222 S. Forks Ave., from noon-1 p.m. Wednesdays. Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend. Lunch is $9.75 plus tax.
