The Washington State Patrol is reporting that the drivers involved in this morning’s accident at milepost 12 on the LaPush Road were Cheryl Holcomb, 56 , of Forks who was driving a 2000 Kia and Nicole and Carl Realing who were driving a 1996 Ford Explorer.

WSP reports that the Holcomb vehicle crossed the center line striking the Realing vehicle head-on in the eastbound lane.

Holcomb was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. Nicole Realing, driver, age 39, was also airlifted to Harborview and Carl Realing, passenger, age 55, was not injured. Both vehicles were totaled.

The use of drugs or alcohol were not involved and all were wearing vehicle restraints.

The accident remains under investigation.

The road was closed for two and a half hours.
