Interwest Construction Inc. (ICI) began construction on the Upper Hoh River Road Phase 2 project last week. This work consisted of setting up Temporary Traffic Control and beginning clearing of trees at the location of the new bridge to be installed at Canyon Creek, Mile Post (MP) 10, as well as clearing of trees at the Morgan’s Crossing parking area, MP 6.7.
This week, ICI will continue clearing trees at Canyon Creek MP 10 and will begin clearing for the Engineered Log Jams at MP 4.5 and 7.
Impacts to Traffic:
Temporary Traffic Control related to this project includes 1 lane flagger setups at clearing locations on Upper Hoh River Road.
Expect delays up to 30 minutes through the project limits between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. during weekdays. Businesses along Upper Hoh River Road and Olympic National Park will remain accessible at all times during construction.
