On Friday, July 13, at approximately 10 a.m., Clallam County Sheriff’s Deputies located and arrested Tommy Cook Junior at Klahowya Campground which is located at 211879 Highway 101, Forks, after receiving information that Cook had been staying in the area.
Tommy Cook Junior had two outstanding felony warrants amounting to $450,000 dollars in bail. The warrants involved alleged illegal drug activity within the area of Clallam County and the City of Forks.
Deputies verified that Tommy Cook Junior was inside a recreational vehicle parked within the campground.
Additional officers responded to assist with the arrest of Tommy Cook Junior. Officers responding to the scene were from the Forks Police Department, Washington State Patrol, Port Angeles Police Department, La Push Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the Clallam County Sheriff’s special teams and detectives.
A perimeter was established by responding officers who alerted citizens there was an arrest warrant being executed within the campground.
Crisis negotiators attempted to contact Cook by loudspeaker for several hours prior to Cook exiting the motorhome and being taken into custody without incident.
Tommy Cook Junior was later booked into the Clallam County Jail on the two outstanding felony warrants.
