Authorities are investigating a rollover crash that occurred late Tuesday night on US Highway 101 in Clallam County, resulting in one person being airlifted to a Seattle hospital.
The Washington State Patrol responded to the scene at approximately 11:47 p.m. on March 11, 2025, near milepost 215. According to officials, a black 2003 Ford F150 was traveling westbound when it veered off the roadway to the right and rolled over, coming to rest in a ditch along the westbound side of the highway.
The driver, identified as 37-year-old Wendy J. Miramontes Ayala of Forks, WA, sustained injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. Authorities confirmed that Miramontes Ayala was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The vehicle was totaled in the incident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though authorities have confirmed that drugs or alcohol were involved. Charges against the driver are pending.
No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the collision. The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
