Wild Olympics campaign focus of meeting

Set for Quinault School on Saturday evening May 14

The Lake Quinault community is sponsoring a forum on the Wild Olympics campaign on Saturday, May 14. It will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and held in the Lake Quinault School gymnasium.

Event organizers say there are several speakers on the agenda, including: Forks Mayor Bryon Monohon and City of Forks Attorney/Planner Rod Fleck, Kathy DeCourcy Hoder, Jon Owen, Harold Brunstad, Monte Dahlstrom, Rich DuBois, , Dan Boeholt, Herb Welch, Bill Pickell and Dan Wood.

Each speaker will be limited to 5 minutes of speaking time, and when all have spoken there will be a one-hour question/answer session from the audience.

Earlier in the day, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will be a bake sale. A bake sale/auction will begin again at 6:00 p.m. and run up until the time of the meeting. The bake sale is also at the Lake Quinault School. Funds raised will be used by those opposed to the Wild Olympics campaign.
