Woman sent to Prison for Robbery and Attempted Burglary

Jennifer Sue Homes was sentenced on Aug. 30, 2016, to 46 months prison and will be required to undergo drug treatment following her plea of guilty to charges of Robbery First Degree and Attempted Robbery Second Degree.

According to court records, Holmes robbed the La Michoacana store in Forks on Aug. 2, 2016 leaving with $300 from the cash register after threatening to shoot an employee with what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.

Homes stated that the gun was fake and helped officers recover what they confirmed to be a pellet gun. Homes also attempted to take money from the 76 Gas Station in Forks by threatening an employee with AIDS using a dirty hypodermic needle.

Holmes also stated she did not get anything from the 76 Gas Station attendant because the employee told her to “Get out, Get” after she threatened the employee with the needle. Holmes stated that she committed the crimes because she needed money for drugs.

Homes had previous convictions for Forgery and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
