Agnes Rae (Smith) Hansen (Aggie, Sissy), 77, of Paris, IL, formerly of Westville, IL passed on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Paris Health & Rehab Center, Paris, IL
Agnes was born on November 25, 1944, in Forks, WA. The daughter of William (Bill) and Jessie Smith. She was married to Larry Hansen who preceded her in death in March 2001.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeri Lyn Harvey of Forks, WA; Harriet Leann (Harvey) McDowell of Westville, IL. Two grandsons, Lauren MacGill of Valley, NE; Isaac McDowell of Westville, IL and one granddaughter, Christina McDowell of Westville, IL. Three stepsons; Ervin Hansen, Scott Hansen (preceded her in death), and Clifford Hansen, and one stepdaughter; Kathy (Hansen) Greggory and several step-grandsons and granddaughters. She also is survived by her older sister Roberta (Smith) Parker and youngest brother Allan Smith and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one stepson, one brother, and two sisters.
Aggie was loved by all and she loved everyone she met. In her younger days, she loved to bowl and play softball. She spent many years taking an exercise class that would put on a show known as the Forks Follies. In Aggie’s spare time she loved to play BINGO, read, embroidery, stamp, play cards and watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Aggie was a member of the Forks Emblem Club. She was club president several times and held many state offices for years until she finally became state president which she enjoyed very much.
Aggie was employed at the Forks Community Hospital for 35 years, from 1977 to 2012. She was head of medical records for many years; her favorite part of working was going down to see the new mommas and their babies to get their footprints and information.
A celebration of Aggie’s life will be held at a later date in Forks, Washington.
