Barbara J. Westerlund of Montesano WA died from heart complications on July 5th, 2018. She was 88 years old. Barb, as she was commonly known by family and friends, was born in Packwood, Washington to Luther and Gertrude Brooks and was the eldest of seven children.

Barb enjoyed life. She was independent, strong-willed and able to find humor in almost every situation. Throughout her life, she enjoyed seeing new sites, gardening, and hunting but mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, many of which she will now be reunited with.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald J. Westerlund, and brother Bob Brooks. She is survived by her son Butch (JoMarie) Miller, and stepsons Tom (Debbie), Dave (Lori), Jon (Holly) Westerlund. She also leaves behind grandchildren and great-grandchildren which she loved passionately. A luncheon in honor of Barb’s life will take place at noon on July 28, 2018, at Country Estates, Montesano, Washington.
