Catherine (Kay) Whitehead passed away at 4:15 p.m. on November 8, 2020. A long-time resident of Forks, she is survived by her husband James Elmer Whitehead and children Martin Whitehead, Donald Whitehead, Victor Whitehead, and Nancy Moore.
She is also survived by her brother John Denn and sister Anne Lundberg. Also deceased are her sister Helen Wandke and daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Binschus.
She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Forks. She loved her family and God, her father. She was a member of stitches for hearts, an avid quilter and crochet-er, and a dahlia gardener. She will be missed by her numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren, and family-in-law.
Kay and her husband started a Mobile gas station turned parts store which is now the location of Whitehead’s Auto Parts, owned by her son Victor and daughter-in-law Corlie Whitehead. It is run by her grandson, Jonathan Whitehead.
This tribute, written by her granddaughter Marni Whitehead, is sponsored by Whitehead’s NAPA Auto Parts Store. This beloved matriarch will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
