Don and Clarissa Miller were married 56 years and passed away 8 1/2 hours apart.
Donald E. Miller born April 12, 1942, in Centralia, and Clarissa C. (Hobi) Miller born February 29, 1944 in Raymond. They were high school sweethearts at Naselle High School. Don graduated class of 1961 and Clarissa 1962. They married August 11, 1962, and lived in Rosburg, where children Cindy and David were born and raised, until their move to Forks in 1972. After their home was built, they had their third child, Cheri, and resided in that home until their deaths. Don spent most of his working years in the logging industry and Clarissa worked and retired after 26 years, at Forks Thriftway.
They are survived by daughter, Cindy (Mark Morgan) Miller; son, David (Tierra Tipp) Miller; and daughter, Cheri (Rob) Gale; grandchildren, Jessica (Ian) Hurlbut; Sarah (Jordan Ashe) Capp; Brynan and Darian Miller, Wyatt Tipp; Tyler, Riley and Greyson Gale; great-grandchildren Jaxson, Harlow and Kora Hurlbut; Kaydance, Lincoln and Weston Ashe.
Don is survived by brothers Bob (Thelma) Miller; Jerry Miller; and sister-in-law Prue Miller. Clarissa is survived by her sister Rosalie (Bob) Eaton; brother Steve Hobi; and sister-in-law Laurie Hobi.
They are preceded in death by their parents, Don’s brother, Ted Miller and Clarissa’s brother Harold Hobi. Don and Clarissa requested no services. The family is having a “Celebration of Life” at the Rainforest Art Center, 35 North Forks Ave. on November 10, 2018, 1 to 5 p.m.
