Daniel Clifford Acosta, 68, of Kennewick, Washington passed away on Oct. 29, 2018.
Born and raised in Oakland California, Danny joined the US Army at the age of 20 and spent 6 years serving our country before moving to Forks, Washington.
Danny is known by most as an avid softball player, affectionately known as “Taco”. He is remembered as “One of the Greats” from the good ole days, playing and coaching on teams like Hairsmith, Davis Shakers, Sherico Cedar, and C & J Trucking. He played well into retirement before turning his passion towards Dog Showing. Along with his wife Patricia and daughter Tommi Jo, they formed TJ’s Bulldogs Kennel, raising and showing Hall of Fame English Bulldogs. Along with the immense pride he had in his dogs was a great love for each and every one.
Danny is survived by his wife Patricia Murray of Kennewick, daughters Tommi Jo Murray of Kennewick, Jessi Olson (Ken) of Forks, and Dominique McDonald (Conner) of Forks, Brother Ernie Acosta (Betty) of Port Angeles, and numerous adopted family members who made their way into his heart.
Services with full Military Honors will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at 2:15 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Medical Lake (Spokane) Washington.
