Donald (Duck) Fraker passed away peacefully in the presence of his family June 21 at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.
Donald was born in Forks, Aug. 30, 1938, to Eugene and Ora Fraker. He lived and grew up on the Upper Hoh and went to school in Forks.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958 and was Honorably Discharged in 1964. He was a hard worker, in addition to driving logging truck for many local trucking companies, he operated all types of machinery. Donald enjoyed many things, playing music, hunting, fishing, mowing, hummingbirds, his roses, but mostly photography and his family. His family meant the world to him.
He is survived by his wife Joann Fraker, his brother Melvin (Sharla), his sisters Joy (Joe) Mishanec, Margie Faulkner, Janice Thomas, daughter Dixie Robbins, sons Kenneth Fraker, (Lorita) Frank Fraker (Carla), Eugene Fraker (Ashley), Jim Hestkind (Marlo Ewing), Troy Hestkind (Teresa Jo). He also has 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no service, however, there will be a Potluck and Celebration of his Life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at 83 Lindner Creek Lane on the Upper Hoh.
