Geraldine Ann Klein passed away July 14, 2023, in the Forks Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Gerry was born in Forks, Washington to Cora Lucile and Earl Hamilton on November 15, 1931.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Eldon (Bud) Klein, daughters Eldonna Tiemeyer (Wally), Tammi Zavadlov (Mike) and Debbie Panagiotu (Tony).
She was loved by her grandchildren, Chris, Derek, Brandi, Holly, Shilo, Jared and Sara. She was great-grandma to 15 beautiful children that she adored.
Mom enjoyed fishing, especially when she skunked Dad, clamming, crabbing and smelting.
She had a crazy green thumb and was famous for her dahlias. She provided flowers for many weddings, decorated the Assembly of God church and dropped off bouquets to the hospital and long-term care.
She loved to knit and crochet. She gave away her beautiful baby sweaters, blankets and dish rags she created with love. Mom enjoyed playing games, Yahtzee, Cribbage, Solitaire and many others.
She was passionate about her Seattle Mariners. If their pitching was bad, we all heard about it.
Mom was an excellent cook and baker. When her girls were growing up, she was always Room Mother. All the kids wanted to eat the treats she made.
The same goes for church potlucks. Her blackberry and pumpkin pies were the first to get taken.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Forks Assembly of God Church on August 19 at 11 am. Please come join us. There will be a potluck following the service. Our family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Forks Community Hospital for their excellent care of Mom in her final days.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Forks Assembly of God Church, 81 Huckleberry Lane, Forks, WA 98331. Your donations will be used to send youth to summer camp in 2024.
