Gerry Banner of Forks died peacefully at Forks Hospital from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma June 16, 2020.
Born Gertrude Anna Pries April 12, 1938, at home in Cinnabar, Washington.
Gerry attended high school in Onalaska, WA. She met her husband, Jack Banner after high School, they moved to the Forks area in 1967.
Through the years Gerry worked at many different jobs, waitress, Sears, Lefler’s clothing store, Fair Shake, and volunteering at the Forks clothing bank for many years.
Gerry loved being outdoors, her favorite pastime was gardening, tending to her flower beds, and picking berries. Gerry was an avid reader, she read a book a day. She loved to travel, play bingo, and met monthly with her pinochle group. Gerry was also known for hosting large family holiday gatherings, her family called her the “One Woman Potluck” where she always welcomed a handful of extra guests to enjoy in the large banquet of food and festivities. Gerry will be truly missed by her family and extended family.

Gerry leaves behind lifelong partner and Husband of over 60 years Jack Banner and six children Robert (Maria) Murphy, Olympia, WA, Jerry (Kathy) Banner, Forks, WA, Greg (Anita) Banner, Forks, WA, Merle (Jenny) Banner, Joyce, WA, Jacqueline (Mike) Mann, Monterey, CA, Cindy Sisson, Port Angeles, WA; Siblings Cheryl Pries Slater, Olympia WA, Merry Pries Vonbargen, Olympia WA, and Karlene Pries, Mossyrock, WA.
Twelve Grandchildren and Thirteen Great-grandchildren.
