Howard N. Beglinger Sr. passed away on October 28, 2022. He was born on April 30, 1937, to Gabriel and Kathryn (Baker) Beglinger in Falls City near Preston, WA. He started working in the woods when he was 15 and worked until 1985 when he retired due to a logging accident. He married Frances Klepps on May 14, 1955, and they divorced after 21 years.

He enjoyed spending time with family, playing pool, hunting, fishing, and just spending time outdoors. He was a dedicated member of AA for 44 years. He is survived by his longtime partner Beverly “Babe” Anderson, sister Wilma Ray, children Kathryn (John) Jensen, Nora (James) Heppe, Ida Beglinger, Howard Beglinger Jr, Mike Beglinger, Cora (Raymond) Sasticum and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Louis Morgan and Gabriel Beglinger Jr, sisters Susie Morgan and Margaret Haapanen.

A memorial service for Howard will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Eagles in Elma, WA. Donations in his name can be made to the Forks Timber Museum/Forks Loggers Memorial.
