Jackie Kilmer, 88 of Port Angeles, went to be home with the Lord on July 3, 2022, from age-related causes.
She was born March 14, 1934, in Port Angeles to Earl and Lucile (Sanford) Hamilton. She graduated from Forks High School in 1952.
On July 10, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart John Kilmer in Forks. She loved gardening, sewing, and canning, and was a wonderful cook. She created many wedding and birthday cakes for so many people. She also had a business, Jackie’s Flowers and Things, where she made beautiful flower arrangements using silk flowers. She also worked at Pacific Pizza. Her most important job thought was being a wife and mom.
Prior to moving to Port Angeles, she lived in Shelton, Rochester and Forks. First in her life was her love of God then her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Her husband John preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by son Brad (Kim) Kilmer of Shelton, daughter Lisa (Ron) Hendricks of Port Angeles, and sister Gerry Klein of Forks. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren Danelle and Kyle (Biswell), Michael and Marina and Andrew and Mariah Kilmer, Bree and Kim Hendricks and Dawn (Robinson) and 5 great grands Alijah Kilmer, Tinley Biswell, Theo Kilmer, Sara Strey and Oliver Robinson.
Her smile and laughter and phone calls will be greatly missed, but we know she is safely home in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held on July 30th at 11 a.m. at the Forks Assembly of God.
