James Allen Bartley of Forks, WA died at his home of natural causes on July 9, 2019. He was 79 years old.
Jim was born in Chehalis, WA on June 19, 1940, to Alva “Bart” Bartley and Ella Viola (Raybell) Bartley. He went to school and grew up in Camas Valley, OR.
He married Janice Breitenbucher in 1957, they divorced and he then married Betty Louise Moody.
Jim was a logger-Yarder Engineer- for much of his life, logging the entire Pacific Northwest from Alaska to California. He was also a Commercial Fisherman, over the Northwest.
Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter, and fishing was what brought him to the Olympic Peninsula to live in 1989.
His survivors include his daughters- Joyce Anne Bartley, Marti Marie Hubbard, Elizabeth Christine Bartley, and son- Ronald Wayne Bartley.
Grandchildren- Mikal, Eddy, Steven, Ashley, Samantha, Rachael, Shawna, Amanda, and numerous Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, son Steven Ray Bartley, daughter- Julie Anne Burke, and his parents- Alva and Ella Bartley.
There will be a Graveside Service at Swafford Valley Cemetery in Mossyrock, WA on Saturday, August 17, at 1 p.m. Harper-Ridgeview in Port Angeles was in charge of arrangements.
