Jeffrey Allen Claussen, longtime Forks resident, went to be with his Lord on November 20, 2018, after a long battle with kidney disease. The youngest child of Harold and Aggie Claussen, Jeff was born in Forks on July 20, 1964. He attended Forks High School and married Tina Mullins in August of 1993. They have two children, Jacob, 23 and Zachary, 15.
Jeff worked many different jobs throughout his life, including bartending, long-haul trucking, and finally as food service manager at Olympic Corrections Center. He was medically retired from the Department of Corrections due to his illness.
Jeff was a kind and compassionate man, always putting others first. He was a great friend, well known throughout the Peninsula as someone who always had kind words and a smile for everyone. His boys were his life and he was an excellent father.
He is survived by his wife Tina, sons Jacob and Zachary, his sisters Kathy and Ellen, and brothers, Bill and Jerry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Aggie, and his siblings John H. Claussen, Rhonda (Hagerman) and Peggy Ann Claussen.
A Service will be held at the Forks Assembly of God church on Saturday, December 8th at noon. Donations in memory of Jeff can be made to the National Kidney Foundation at Kidney.org.
