May 14, 1963 – August 18, 2017

John Weston 54, left us too soon as he passed away Friday August 18, 2017 while having his morning coffee.

John was born to Loretta (Crafton) and Floyd Weston May 14, 1963 in Arlington, Washington. John lived in Darrington, Washington until grade school when his family moved to Forks. Forks was John’s true home and he never wanted to leave this community.

After high school John has had a variety of jobs: starting in Alaska in canneries, the mill and timber industy, general contracting, fuel truck driver and air frame mechanic for Eagle Air and Northwest Helicopters and finally as Maintenance at Forks Community Hospital.

In 1990 John wed Char Weston and they raised two girls Makenzie and Melissa.

John loved his family and friends, getting to know people, sharing his knowledge with others and especially important to him was having the satisfaction of a good days work and the elders of our community. John enjoyed getting up early, listening to the 80’s while “crusin the village,” working around our home (his piece of paradise), clam digging, and baths (they fix everything).

John was preceded in death by his parents and 5 of his 6 siblings.

A celebration of life is planned for Friday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. at the Forks Elks Lodge, please bring a dish and a memory to share.
