Marjorie Louise Thomas Shearer was born on June 13, 1929, in Portland, OR to Alfred R. and Dorothy (Royal) Thomas. She passed away at the Forks Community Hospital Long Term Care Facility on Jan. 19, 2020, she was 90 years old.
Marjorie attended one year of business college before marrying Ronald Shearer on March 17, 1951. She was a homemaker, loved to garden and was a 4-H leader for the Buttons and BowlsClub. She was a member of the Forks Assembly of God Church.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William and Robert Thomas, son Daniel Shearer, and grandson Jesse Peterson.
She is survived by her husband Ronald of Forks, daughters Sue Payne of La Push and Linda (Stan) Peterson of Forks. She is also survived by brother Richard Thomas, sister Francis (Lyle) Jacobson, grandchildren Nels, Jordan, Megan and Danielle, daughter-in-law Ruth Young, great-grandchildren Cadence, Emery, Fionna, and Caroline.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at the Forks Congregational Church, 280 Spartan Ave., at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall. Harper Ridgeview, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.
