Mary Jo Carte

Born July 19, 1937, in Conrad, Montana. Died February 27, 2023, in Forks, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Helen Throckmorton as well as her husband Donald Carte and sister Judy Mclaughlin.

She is survived by her daughter Char Carte, son Duane Carte and her sister Kay Bjelland (Gary). The family would like to acknowledge Ryan Lindberg, while not her biological grandson, she loved him as her own. And, her last cat Tommy that brought much joy the last few months.

She loved playing cards and doing crossword puzzles until her sight did not allow it any longer. She was also a huge fan of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Army, Navy, and Air Force Football. She was also active with St. Anne Catholic church and proud of being an EMT for a few years.

On February 27th, she was ready to go home but God had other plans and took her to heaven during a snowstorm just like dad, surrounded by some amazing healthcare workers at Forks Community Hospital.

No service as was her wish.

A mass will be offered on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 511 5th Ave., Forks. A reception will follow.
