Maxwell Elmer Waldron

Maxwell Elmer Waldron, Jr. passed away peacefully in Sequim, Washington on February 13, 2023. He was born in Seattle, Washington on July 6, 1929, to Maxwell Elmer and Esther Victoria (Bengston) Waldron.

He was in the 1947 graduating class of Clover Park High School in Tacoma, attended the College of Puget Sound (now UPS) in Tacoma from 1947 to 1949, and eventually earned his BA (1952) and MA (1953) from the State College of Washington (now WSU) in Pullman.

He was active duty in the Naval Reserve from May 1953 to May 1955, serving at the Bremerton Naval Hospital. He attended the Chicago College of Osteopathy in 1955, earning his Doctorate in 1960. He did his medical internship at Standring Memorial Osteopathic Hospital in Seattle, 1960 to 1961.

He had a family medical practice in Federal Way, Washington from 1961 until he retired in 2003. His greatest joy was delivering babies and he loved family medicine. He married Joan Lee Ross in 1956 and they had three children together, divorcing after 29 years of marriage.

He moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 2015, to be near his daughter, son-in-law and oldest son. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Denny and sister Joy. He is survived by his youngest sister, Anne, his daughter Liane (Curt), son Grant, son Blake (Cyndi), grandchildren DJ (Kylie), Brittany and Cameron, great-grandsons Elijah, Jaymeson and Elliot and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
