Reba Woody Hines Treichel died on November 18, 2018, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany, Oregon. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Reba was born on May 8, 1941, in Hazelwood, North Carolina to Zeb and Nannie Bell Woody.
In January of 1947, the family moved to Beaver, Washington. She attended The Forks school system until 1958 when her family moved to Philomath, Oregon during her senior year of high school. She then moved back to Forks and graduated from Forks High School in 1959.
After graduation, she moved back to Philomath where she met and married Eldon Hines. They were happily married for 33 years until Eldon’s death in 1992. Reba married Emmett Treichel in Reno, Nevada on May 16, 1998, and they were married until his death in 2016, after which she moved to Monroe, Oregon to be near her daughter.
Reba spent her life in devotion to loving her family and serving others. All of her employment was in the service fields. She also had a ministry of creating 3 x 5 index cards with inspirational sayings and scripture verses that she gave to those in need with whom she came in contact.
She is survived by her brother Jake (Carol) Woody of Manteca, CA, four children: Darryl (Tana) of Mesa, AZ, Jacquie(Rory} Stiles of Phoenix, AZ, Rick of Gilbert, AZ, and Teresa (Jay) of Monroe, Ore, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three step-children: Jeff (Christine) Treichel of Forks, WA, Julie (Brian) Goldie of Wenatchee, WA and Austin Case of Spokane, WA along with eight step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
Her memorial service was held on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2018, at McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis, OR. under the direction of her family and Pastor Andy Pursley of Forks Assembly of God Church. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
