Rick, as we all know him, was born May 10, 1966, in Port Angeles. Rick unexpectedly passed away of a heart attack with his family at his side July 11, 2021, at the age of 55.
Rick was a lifelong resident of Clallam Bay, residing on the Hoko-Ozette road since birth.
Rick graduated from Clallam Bay High School in 1985, he spent a year firefighting for the State Forest Service, before finding his passion tree falling. Rick spent 20 plus years as a timberfeller, working for numerous companies, including spending a season in Alaska. Rick also spent a few years as the local butcher.
Rick was an avid fisherman, spending most of his free time fishing the Hoko River. Rick also enjoyed hunting, taking nightly rides, and spending time with family and his pets, which he loved dearly. Rick had a generous kind heart and a one-of-a-kind crazy sense of humor that left a mark in everyone he encountered. He truly lived life to the fullest.
Rick is survived by his parents Darryl and Wanda (Nicholas) Krick, his daughters Kersten, Hailey, and Jada Clemmons, the mother of his children Tara Hergert, his grandchildren Carter, Payton, Madden Rodriguez, son-in-law Brandon Rodriguez and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and honorary brothers.
Rick is preceded in death by his brother Lonnie Clemmons and his grandparents Don and Dolly (Iverson) Nicholas.
A private family gathering was held to lay him to rest. Potluck Style-Celebration of Life to be held at the Sekiu Community Center on September 25, 2021, at 1 p.m. Address is 42 Rice Street. Sekiu, WA.
