Ruth Fillmore King “Ruthie/Baby Ruth”
On Thursday, September 18, 2014 the spirit and soul of Ruth Ray King flew peacefully free from this earth. Ruth’s passing has left an empty space in our lives and we will always remember her. Her life was about love given, love received and love shared.
She was born February 1, 1946 the daughter of Albert and Olive Fillmore. She grew up in Bremerton, WA and lived in Kitsap County until she moved to Forks to be with her husband Glenn King where she lived until her passing.
Ruth was a loving mother, friend and confidante to Deanna, Christina, Dennis, Diamond, Matt, Alyssa and Andrea. She loved us well and protected us with her heart and strength. She lived her life with incredible energy and enthusiasm. Anyone who ever heard her laugh will remember it would light up a room. She was passionate and strong.
She loved to dance. She had an adventurous spirit. Ruth was a champion for those less fortunate and gave her all to everything she did.
The impact and significance of the life Ruth lived is reflected in all those who love her and who will miss her beyond measure.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Duane Mueller, sister Beverly Frazier and brother William Imhoff.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Glenn King, her daughters Deanna Norvell and Christina Mueller, her sos Dennis Mueller, Diamond Mueller and Matt King and his family; her grandchildren Kassy King and Blake King and great grandchildren Aden and Kalena; her brother Albert Fillmore and his family.
The family and friends she leaves behind are far too numerous to list here, but know she loved you and was better for your presence in her life.
A memorial was held at the Forks Elks Lodge October 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. to honor Ruth and say farewell.
