Sande Strom passed away peacefully in her Forks residence on May 7, 2018, following multiple health complications. Sande was born in Atkinson, Nebraska to August and Beatrice Buettner. At an early age her family moved to Port Angeles and later to Forks.

Sande had worked many jobs but her most rewarding was when she got into the field of working with young mothers and children. She was a loving and compassionate woman who dedicated herself to helping others. Children were her specialty. Many children were in and out of her household. She was always there for whatever she could do to make their lives better.

Sande was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and foster mother to many.

She is survived by her husband Pete, who have been married for 42 years, her two children Peter (PK) Strom of Everett, Angel Klahn of Forks, three grandchildren Heather, Gracie (Tyler), and Joe of Forks, and one great-granddaughter Karmin; Brother Walter (Connie) Buettner, Sister Joyce Bay, Sister-in-law Jo Buettner many nieces and nephews. A special child that Sande held dear to her heart was Kobe Ward. She was proceeded in death by her parents and twin brother Tom Buettner.

There will be a gathering on June 23 from 1-3 p.m., at the family home, 240 West Division. Please bring your memories to share. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to any organization that will benefit children.
