It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my brother Shaun L. Poole on Oct. 8, 2019. Shaun was born to Joyce and Verl Poole in the north end of Seattle on May 29, 1951.
He went to school at Shorecrest before quitting and going into the Marines. Shaun did one tour in Vietnam.
After his military service, including enlistment in the Navy, he traveled the country and lived in places like Boston, New Orleans, and Florida before returning to the Northwest.
Shaun was a product of the 60s. He was fiercely independent and sometimes that showed up as being aggressive or mean. For those of us who knew him, you couldn’t find a more caring person.
During Christmas holidays he would load up his motorcycle with whatever he could afford and travel in the dead of winter from Seattle to Forks to share and give to the kids and grandkids.
He will be missed by our family and his friends. May he rest in peace.
