1948 – 2022
Sherman H. Shortridge, 73, of Chandler, Arizona, previously of Port Angeles, Washington, went to be with the Lord, May 13, 2022.
He was born June 7, 1948, in Duo, West Virginia, the son of the late Arlena Millman (Pittsenbarger) and Sherman L. Shortridge. On April 7, 1973, he married Cheryl (Ulin), who survives along with his daughter and son-in-law Kelley and Jason McDonald, his son Ryan Shortridge, 6 grandchildren; Ryley, Zac, & Brody Shortridge and Seth, Eli and Isaak McDonald, a great-granddaughter Brinley Wilcox, his sister MaryAnn Ferguson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sherman, with wife Cheryl, owned and operated Ulins Auto Parts in Forks, Washington for 26 years. After relocating to Port Angeles Washington, Sherman was a commercial driver for B & D Inc., and Propane NW. Upon retirement, Sherman split his time between Ocean Shores, WA and Chandler AZ. He was an avid golfer, beachcomber, and sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life and potluck will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Port Angeles Eagles Club located at 2843 E Myrtle Street in Port Angeles.
The family has set up a memorial fund in honor of Sherman at United Way of Grays Harbor.
