Tara Lee Howell passed away at the age of 71, peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 18, 2020. She was born to Carter and Wanda (Leigh) Warren on January 16, 1949, in Forks, Washington where she was born and raised. Tara was in the graduating class of 1967 at Forks High School.

A couple of months after graduation Tara married her husband Lyle Howell. They married in Duvall, Washington, on December 13, 1967. Tara and Lyle had also lived in Oak Ridge, TN but then later in life, they moved down to Elma in 2016. Tara worked for and retired from SAIC and Leidos INC. She had worked for them for 15 years until her retirement in March of 2016.

Tara is survived by her husband, Lyle Howell; their sons, Stephen Thomas Howell of Elma and Jeffery Scott Howell of McCleary; by her brothers, Steve Warren of North Carolina and Tim Warren of Beaver Washington; and three grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carter and Wanda (Leigh) Warren Gorham and her daughter Alasa Dawn Howell.
