KALAMA — The Forks boys wrestling team got four weight champions and finished first at the 1B/2B District 4 subregionals.
Meanwhile, for the Forks girls, Miley Blanton won a subregionals championship at 120 pounds.
The boys sent seven wrestlers into championship rounds with three Spartans finishing second in their weights. Forks tallied 262.5 points, well ahead of second-place Rainier at 176. Ilwaco was third at 146.5.
Winning championships were Jesus Garcia-Dominguez at 113 pounds, Walker Rondeau at 132 pounds, Walker Wheeler at 144 pounds and Sloan Tumaua at 285 pounds. Making it to the championship round and finishing second were Abraham Montealegre at 113 pounds (beaten in the championship match by Garcia-Dominguez), Brian Lucas at 120 pounds and Nate Dahlgren at 190 pounds.
Aiden Ivey was third at 150 pounds, while Jon Parker Jr. was fourth at 175 and Samuel Lopez-Rivera was fourth at 120.
Other Forks wrestlers who placed included:
• Landon Thomas, 138, fifth.
•Adrien Sanchez, 150, sixth.
• Mason Leinan, 165, seventh.
•Brody Owen, 126, eighth.
