After three games this season, the Forks soccer boys are not only undefeated, they have yet to give up a goal.
In fact, after Saturday’s 4-0 win over Bremerton, the Spartans have outscored their opponent 21-0. Two out of those three wins were against 2A opponents — Bremerton and Lakewood.
The best part of the story is Forks is a very young team, playing seven freshmen and three sophomores, so the Spartans are just going to get better.
Gabe Terrones got the shutout in goal Saturday. Goal scorers were Oscar Gonzalez, Hugo Sandoval (on a penalty kick), Tony Flores and Luis Perez. Coach Joe Morton said Flores’ goal came on a “beautiful cross by [Gonzalez],” who picked up the assist.
Forks (0-0, 3-0) next hosts Port Townsend (0-0, 0-1) at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
