Lake Pleasant Dock Work

By Peninsula Daily News

Update Friday, July 19 – Work may be completed!

Lake Pleasant Community Beach County Park was to close beginning July 15 for repairs to the dock.

Quigg Brothers, Inc. of Aberdeen planned to begin staging equipment on Monday, July 15 to begin in-water work on July 17, when the state Department of Fish and Wildlife’s fish window opens.

The park will remain closed until the completion of the project, expected to be July 29.

The lengthy delay in repairing the dock, which was damaged during a winter storm in November 2021, was caused by difficulties with the permitting process and funding issues, according to a press release from the Clallam County Parks, Fair and Facilities Department.

The $82,000 project is fully funded by a grant from the state Recreation and Conservation Office.
