The Forks Wrestling Club participated in a tournament dubbed “Super State” this past weekend at the Northwest Sports Hub in Centralia.

The event was called “Super State” because it was open to all clubs and schools of classifications.

The Spartans represented very well by finishing 11th with 142.5 points out of 86 teams/clubs from across the state. Individual place winners in the freshman/sophomore division included eight grader Matthew Montes with a 4th place finish at 106 pounds and Walker Wheeler with a 4th place finish at 138 lbs.

In the grades 9-12 division, Conner Demorest finished 4th at 120lbs, Dalton Kilmer 4th at 126 lbs, Hayden Queen 3rd at 170 lbs and Hayden Baker 5th at 195 lbs.

Overall the Spartans had 12 participants in the tournament with 10 of them returning to next year’s squad.

Matthew and Walker both placed 4th in the 9/10 division.
