Forks will send three runners to the state 1A cross-country meet after qualifying at District I this week.
Qualifying for state at Thursday’s District 4 1A meet at the Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland were Madelyn Archibald, Colton Duncan and Wesley Camacho.
Archibald finished among the top 10 for the girls, finishing 10th with a time of 21 minutes, 8 seconds. Duncan was 12th among the boys with a time of 18:01, while Camacho was 21st with a time of 18:31. The top 14 spots for girls and top 21 for boys qualify for state.
The boys team finished fifth out of the 10 schools at the meet with 142 points and the girls finished fourth with 97 points. The state 1A meet is at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco on Saturday.
